Usage: Used for selective enrichment of Salmonella in down and feathers.
Testing principle:
Tryptone and soy peptone provide carbon sources, nitrogen sources and vitamins to meet the needs of bacterial growth; sodium chloride can maintain balanced osmotic pressure; calcium carbonate can neutralize bacterial acid production and absorb toxic metabolites; sodium thiosulfate and tetrahydrofuran The combination of sodium sulfate can inhibit intestinal commensal bacteria (sodium tetrasulfate is formed when iodine and potassium iodide are added to the culture medium), and bacteria with sodium tetrasulfate reductase can multiply in this culture medium. Salt inhibits E. coli and other Gram-positive bacilli.
