Test principle

Peptone and beef meal provide carbon sources, nitrogen sources and vitamins to meet the needs of bacterial growth; sodium chloride can maintain balanced osmotic pressure; calcium carbonate can neutralize bacterial acid production and absorb toxic metabolites; sodium thiosulfate and tetrahydrofuran Sodium sulfate binding can inhibit intestinal commensal bacteria (sodium tetrasulfate is formed when iodine and potassium iodide are added to the culture medium), and bacteria with sodium tetrasulfate reductase can multiply in this culture medium; bile salts and brilliant green Inhibits coliforms and other Gram-positive bacteria.
